Puppy School Melbourne

Dogs HQ is taking a break from puppy school to ensure our courses are the best available, but we'll be back soon!

In the meantime, many of our customers find that bringing their puppy to daycare - even for just a few hours or a half day - is a great way to socialise them and get them used to other dogs of various shapes and sizes. We get lots of little pups at daycare and it's a joy watching their confidence grow.

Feel free to give us a call or send us an email to chat about how it all works!

About Puppy School

The first 4 months of a puppy's life is what is called their 'critical period'. This is the time in which a young dog is most impressionable and may determine what temperament they have as an adult.

Puppy School is a unique opportunity to introduce your puppy to a whole new world, ensuring they learn all the necessary skills to grow into a balanced and fulfilled adult dog.

Our 3-week puppy course covers the following:

  • Sit
  • Drop
  • Responding to name and come when called
  • Look at me
  • Touching and handling
  • Leave it
  • Fearful/shy and aggressive problems in puppies
  • Learn good handling and leadership skills
  • Provides a good foundation and preparation for further training

As well as assistance with:

  • Housetraining
  • Jumping
  • Mouthing
  • General care and health
  • All other puppy behaviours

  • Puppies must be aged between 8 – 20 weeks upon commencement
  • Course must be paid for in full upon booking
